Here we are! The workshops on film-making, graphic design and video editing of the project “D.B.Y. – Directed by (You)th” officially start in Italy!
CEIPES, coordinator of the project and Italian partner of the project, is pleased to announce the launch of the 5 workshops, which will be held in the organization’s premises from 12th to 24th July 2023.
Expectations are very high: the 25 participants in the workshops will in fact, at the end of the workshops, have the opportunity to make their own documentary on a theme of their choice, but connected to issues of civic engagement.
The project, co-funded by the CERV (Citizens, Equals, Rights and Values) of the European Union and aimed at young people across Europe, addresses issues of civic engagement, apathy, deprivation of civil rights and poor democratic trust among young people in Europe. The objective is to promote and achieve the objectives of the European Youth Strategy: involving, empowering and connecting young people. This will happen through an innovative method, still not widespread: that of participatory documentary. This will involve young people in a first-hand experience of issues they would like to change. In this way, in a bottom-up process, they will be empowered and engaged effectively, as the issues they are addressing will be relevant and important to them.
