Saying goodbye is always difficult, especially when the consortium is so united and cohesive, as in the case of the ‘D.B.Y.‘ project consortium. – Directed By YOU(th)’, co-funded by the European Union’s CERV programme. The consortium partners met for the final project meeting in sunny Thessaloniki, where they discussed the last steps before the project activities come to an end, scheduled for later this month, and shared their opinions, thoughts and hopes for the future. They also discussed together the international festival and its organisation. The partners were brilliantly welcomed by the host, EDUACT, who ensured that everyone had a pleasant stay in Greece and organised a pleasant and efficient meeting.
So, goodbye. For now. The consortium, consisting of partners from Italy (as coordinator), Spain, Bulgaria, Austria, Ireland, Romania and Greece, worked are over the past few months to bring the project to a high level of quality and enable young people from all over Europe to express their opinions and ideas on issues of public interest through the innovative and creative tool of participatory documentary filmmaking. One of the results of the project was the production of 70 films, 14 of which were chosen to participate in the final competition held on the same day during the international project festival. Thus, an educational and highly stimulating experience that will remain, forever, in the hearts of each of the partners. Let’s say goodbye, yes. But not for long!
